The Jazzschool, which is handicapped accessible, is located at 2087 Addison Street, near the intersection of Addison and Shattuck Avenue in downtown Berkeley. There is a parking garage right across the street. Go to http://www.downtownberkeley.org/transit_park.cfm for more parking options.

DRIVING TO THE JAZZSCHOOL
FROM SAN FRANCISCO
Take the Bay Bridge, get on I-80 East towards Berkeley/Sacramento. Take the University Avenue exit. Go east, towards the hills, 2 miles to Shattuck Avenue. Turn right on Shattuck, go one block to Addison Street and turn right again. The Jazzschool is not quite halfway down the block on the right side.

FROM EAST OF BERKELEY
From Highway 24, take the Berkeley Exit: Highway 13, Tunnel Road/Ashby Avenue. Drive West on Ashby, 2—3 miles to Shattuck Avenue. Turn right on Shattuck Avenue, proceed two miles to Addison Street. Turn left on Addison Street. Go through one traffic light. The Jazzschool is on your right.

FROM THE SOUTH BAY
Take 880 North to 80 East towards Berkeley. From I-80 take the University Avenue exit. Go east, toward the hills, 2 miles to Shattuck Avenue. Turn right on Shattuck, go one block to Addison Street and turn right again. The Jazzschool is on the right.

FROM MARIN COUNTY
Either come through the City (see above) OR take the Richmond—San Rafael Bridge onto 580 to I-80 to the University Avenue exit. Go east, towards the hills, 2 miles to Shattuck Avenue. Turn right on Shattuck, go one block to Addison Street and turn right. The Jazzschool is not quite halfway down the block on the right side.

MASS TRANSIT DIRECTIONS
TAKING BART
The Downtown Berkeley station on Shattuck Avenue is around the corner from the Jazzschool. Coming from any station other than Richmond, Del Norte, El Cerrito Plaza or North Berkeley, take a Richmond-bound train and get off at Downtown Berkeley. (If you are coming from one of those 4 stations, you can take a Fremont or Colma train to Berkeley.) On the upper level of the station look for the “Shattuck/Addison West” exit. At the top of the stairs, turn left on Addison Street, and you will see the Jazzschool on the right. Call BART at 510.465.2278 for schedules.
