What clients say about working with Judith-Kate:

“Judith-Kate’s sessions opened energetic and creative portals within me that are already manifesting change and new possibilities and awareness in my life.”
— —M.G., Multi-modal artist and arts educator, NY, US
“I’m touched by Judith-Kate’s unswerving commitment to creative expression, inclusion, radical acceptance, kindness and community upliftment. She is championing a part of me she doesn’t even fully know yet. I love being in her orbit as she is committed to excellence and yet is so human and accessible.”
— L.B., Executive Coach and Consultant, CA, US
“Working with Judith-Kate changed my life. She tends to the fullness of the person. As one on her own self-work journey, she has been able to lovingly and honestly point out when my still-often-unconscious woundings of ‘taking on too much’ or ‘taking on what isn’t mine’ were coming into play.”
— A.D., Multi-Modal Artist, Facilitator, NY, US
“My session with Judith Kate was nothing short of life changing. As my spirituality has deepened over the years, I have sought to receive more inner guidance from my intuition and, ideally, direct from my soul. In my session with Judith Kate, she guided me to have a profound experience of my soul in a way that I can instantly make that connection at any time. This has improved my life so much because, with a few moments of meditation, I can receive guidance about what is important for that day, what direction to take in the moment, and even what is important for my life. Not every answer comes from within. I have been guided to seek out people to further understand myself as well as provide insights and information to achieve my goals. Judith-Kate’s fee is modest compared to the tremendous value of having a session with her. I strongly suggest that you take that step! ”
— — L.T., Spiritual Teacher, Entrepreneur, CA, US
“Judith-Kate’s work has so much soul and life to offer all who tune in.”
— — D.S., Coach, Educator, NC, US

“Each of us holds a part of the great puzzle of what’s needed at this time for the well-being of all. As we honor all of who we are, personally, and as a society, everyone wins.”

About Judith-Kate Friedman:
A life-long musician, poet, multi-modal artist, and creative catalyst, Judith-Kate has worked as a musical facilitator for more than 35 years. Her work as an award-winning songwriter, producer, and community teaching artist led to her founding two non-profit organizations, and, in recent years to supporting individuals and families online and in-person through mentoring and consulting.

With the belief that every person is born naturally creative, Judith-Kate supports clients and mentees with extensive expertise in, and passion for,
the arts. Her approach also includes kindness, patience, humor, and a sustaining balance of spontaneity and practicality. Those who work with her in individual or small group sessions deepen their relationship with their artistic calling, becoming the artists and creatives they were born to be.

Judith-Kate holds an M.A. with distinction in Poetics of Imagination (myth studies) from Dartington Arts School/University of Plymouth, UK where she studied extensively with Martin Shaw. She is certified as a transformational coach, facilitator, and leader from the Institute for Women-Centered Coaching using methods originated by its founder Dr. Claire Zamitt, and has a first level certification in Life/Arts process from Tamalpa Institute where she studied and practiced for five years with dance innovator Anna Halprin.

As an instigator of intergenerational creativity, Judith-Kate has collaborated extensively with older and elder adults, youth, families, and teaching artists working with individuals and their communities across the spectrum of physical, cognitive, and emotional capacity. She founded the charitable organization Songwriting Works Educational Foundation to expand everyone’s access to creativity, songwriting, and the power of raising one’s voice—in song, on the page, and in performance. After the passing of her life partner, mythsinger and author Daniel Deardorff, she launched Mythsingerlegacy.org to carry forward and build upon his decades of work in myth, music, and ritual.

In all contexts, she seeks to advocate for and increase everyone’s access to creativity, music-making, storytelling and the raising of voices and truths. In song, on the page, in performance, and through her teaching and mentoring, Judith-Kate is dedicated to serving people of all cultural heritages, life-ways, learning capacities, and levels of artistic experience. She works locally and globally from her home in Pacific Northwest Washington state.
